Test it with us
Play with the places before anyone else, and tell us what breaks.
A prototype, growing in the open. Testing is not joining: you can try everything here, shops included, without becoming a member of anything. If you want to join later, the gate stays open. Testing is not paid work, and nothing written here binds anyone.
What testing is
- Play with the places: the machines, the rooms, the purse, the shops. On a phone especially; most people arrive on one.
- Try the versions. Things change here often, sometimes the same day. When something is new, we may ask you to look again.
- Open a practice shop. With a tester key your stall in the market is a practice one: it stands in the market marked as practice, its till only plays (no card is asked for and no money moves), and the order lands on your stall the way a real one would. You see the whole path, from setting out a thing to marking it sent.
- Tell us. What worked, what broke, what made no sense. A person reads every word.
Testing, and the founders. A practice stall stays a practice stall: we are not ready to take shops in for real yet, and nothing sells from one. Some testers may later join and make a founding contribution; those people, the ones who helped shape what Whimsible is, we will call founders. It is a name to celebrate them, nothing more: no special rights, no pay, the same vote as everyone. The one thing founders do is help make the early decisions about how things settle.
Heard. A person reads every ask. If we say yes, a tester key comes to your email with what to do with it.
Have a tester key?
Make your key in the purse first (the small key at the bottom of the page: a name and a password). Then put your tester key here. From then on your bed and your stall are practice ones.
- Make your bed: your page in the garden. It will say it is a practice bed.
- Open your stall and set out a thing or two.
- Find them in the market, put one in the bag, take it to the till. The order lands on your stall.
- Then tell us how it went, below.
